Tesla has confirmed the global expansion of its Cybertruck at a press conference in Austin, Texas. The angular electric pickup will enter 15 new markets including India, Japan, Brazil, South Korea, Australia, UAE, and Saudi Arabia, with first deliveries expected in Q4 2026.
“The Cybertruck was designed from day one to be a global vehicle. Its exoskeleton construction and steer-by-wire system actually make it easier to adapt to different markets than traditional trucks.”
— Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla
The international version of the Cybertruck features several market-specific adaptations. For right-hand-drive markets like India and Japan, Tesla has completely redesigned the interior with a mirrored dashboard and relocated control stalks. For the Middle East, the truck includes an enhanced cooling system rated for 55°C ambient temperatures.
Information
For the Indian market, Tesla is setting up a $2 billion manufacturing facility in Gujarat capable of producing 200,000 Cybertrucks annually. The "Made in India" Cybertruck will be priced at approximately ₹55 lakh ($65,000), making it competitive with luxury SUVs in the Indian market.
Pricing varies significantly by market. In Japan, the Cybertruck will start at ¥8.2 million ($55,000), while in Brazil it launches at R$380,000 ($76,000). Australia gets the most competitive pricing at AUD 95,000 ($62,000) for the dual-motor variant.
Tesla is also introducing a Cybertruck Compact variant specifically for European and Asian urban markets. This smaller version measures 5.2 meters (down from 5.6m) and features a 100 kWh battery with 500 km range. It will be produced alongside the Model Y at Giga Berlin starting January 2027.
The global Cybertruck fleet will be powered by Tesla's new 4680 structural battery pack (Gen 3), which delivers 547 km range on a single charge and supports 350 kW fast charging — adding 250 km of range in just 15 minutes.
Pre-orders for international markets open August 1, 2026 with a fully refundable $250 deposit. Tesla reported that global Cybertruck reservations have already crossed 3.2 million — a staggering number that represents roughly $15 billion in potential revenue.
